Description: WWII Era US Army M3 Trench Knife Blade Marked: US M3 Imperial - w/1st Pattern US M8 Scabbard - Very NICE ConditionUp for sale is a WWII Era US Army M3 Trench Knife w/1st Pattern US M8 Scabbard. This is a blade marked version of this knife. The blade is marked: US M3 Imperial. No nicks or chips in the blade. Minor finish wear on the blade. No rust or pitting on the blade. There is evidence of sharping, scratches and file marks on the blade. It has a stacked leather washer handle. The leather handle has some minor nicks and the normal handling marks, see photos. The guard has a slight wiggle and pommel is tight. The pommel has the flaming bomb proof mark. The scabbard is a 1st pattern US M8 scabbard, without the belt hook. The scabbard is marked: US M8 over B.M. Co. There are no cracks or chips in the body of the scabbard. See photos. During WWII there were 2,590,240 M3 Knives made, of that total Imperial manufactured only 854,015. Please see M.H.
