Description: Original WW2 British Officers overcoat. The buttons show this belonged to a member of the Pioneers, and based on the quality of the coat, it is likely a private purchase. The wool is soft, and does not scratch like issued uniforms/jackets. All buttons are present though one has fallen off and is included. The shoulder boards show 3 sets of holes so the owner was at least a Captain. Overall, the condition is very good - excellent with only light wear. The jacket can be buttoned up in different fashions (see photos) and has many additional details such as fold down cuffs, inside/hidden buttons to further close up the jacket. It is medium to large size (I am a 42 and it is too big for me, though with a uniform underneath, it would only me a little too big. A beautiful example to an unusual unit.
