Description: This vintage black rotary desk telephone from Western Electric is a true collector's item with a few minor flaws. Made in the United States, it boasts a classic design and high-quality craftsmanship that stood the test of time. It was a workhorse for the Bell System from the late 1930’s thru 1969 and beyond. The 302 Model Western Electric Rotary Desk Phone and Handset was produced with a Thermoplastic Case, a Metal Dial Finger Wheel and Steel Dial Plate with Enamel Face. The original Center Cap is missing, one leather foot cover is missing… Otherwise it appears to be complete. It has not been tested. The Paint on the Enamel Face under the Dial Wheel is worn. Under carriage features leather feet (1 missing). Exterior Case has a few minor scratches, nicks and tiny paint splatters. The left top cradle is cracked… see photos. The original cord appears to have been replaced and is worn. The plug is very old and possibly original. Hand Set label is not legible, but is what I believe to be the F1 Western Electric Bell System set, in very good well used condition. It has an old and very worn coil cord.
