Description: This camera was used in WWII by a late Army Veteran who was assigned to take photos of the war. The camera includes the original lens cover. The history behind this camera: The owner was a personal assistant to Jack Warner of Warner Brothers Studios, alongside former President, Ronald Reagan, where the two of them did some directing together. The owner of this camera was called to duty when the war broke out, and part of his assignment was to take photos of the war, including the aftermath of the war in which this camera was issued to him by the military. The owner and his camera were also in Hitlers bunkers taking photos of what was left after the war essentially ended. Attached are some of the photos that were taken of the war’s aftermath with this exact camera. The photos are not included in the sale. They have been donated to a former collector. These are included in the listing to show some of the photos produced with this camera. The owner was later called back to complete his years alongside Jack Warner where he continued on to be part of many well-known iconic productions such as Camelot, My Fair Lady, Distant Trumpet, Public Enemy and more. I have photos of the making and production of them as proof. This camera was also used in some of the veteran’s time at Warner Brothers Studios as well, so this camera has a rich history. An exact model of this camera with a different serial number was sold at auction in Japan by Bonhams Auction for $927,403.00 several years ago. My understanding is that there was only a few of this model made, with one currently unlocated. We are not sure this camera is the missing model, but it does add to the mystery and excitement of owning this camera.
