Description: Vintage Spiral Brass Waterfall Fountain Torchiere Floor Lamp Paavo Tynell? Offered for your consideration is this Vintage Spiral Brass Waterfall Fountain Torchiere Floor Lamp from the Lightolier Era. It carries the quality and influential designs shown in lamps by Paavo Tynell but are uncertain of the maker as lamps are not our specialty. This beauty stands 72" high with a 16-1/4" diameter top shade and a 9-1/2" square base and weighs in at approx 20 lbs. At top center is a wonderful brass waterfall/fountain type finial with curved thin brass projections and multilevel drop crystal icicle prisms mimicking a central waterfall. It has 4 heavy porcelain sockets that light on a 3 way switch by way of a turn switch located at the neck. The choices are 1,3 & 4 bulbs lit as shown in photo number 6. The circular shade carries a pierced border motif which allows pin points of light to radiate through. The decorative brass column begins and ends with square posts and some egg and dart border at the base and the center features a beautiful slightly tapered spiral. The brass base carries spots of darker patina and maybe a layer of dirt but can be polished to shine brilliantly if so desired. The cord length is 5' extending from the edge of the base.
