We have an entire weaving and yarn shop inventory to sell that was filled to the brim. These plates were found in a locked glass bookcase in my father-in-law's yarn shop. The plates are in NEAR MINT or MINT condition. There is no spine. There is no dust jacket. Actual front and back boards have minimal damage. No marks or highlighting in text. Pages are crisp, clean and unmarked and a lovely antique white/cream. Color prints. This edition is probably late 1940s or early 1950s and has an other-worldly, dreamy quality. Illustrated, collectible, 1st edition. Please note: These book plates were found in a flip-fold case that has ribbon ties (1st picture). That was much more common in the 1920s and 1930s. At one point we found a listing that had very similar items like ours with the stamps and item numbers on the back which WERE listed as being the 1920s. We cannot find that again, so decided to just follow the person who says 1950s on his listing. We are trying to be as honest as possible but are not that versed in Renaissance (or any) art. Sorry! We took pictures of every plate; front and back. Please check them over carefully. We see nothing wrong with them at all, but we have old eyes. Please be sure of what you are buying. THANK YOU! Our book plates are pre-ISBN numbers. The Library of Congress number is non existent. The LOC does not hyphenate when you put the number in to verify. Fake ISBN number is 9781014236289. Correct ISBN number is not applicable. We put in whichever one the system will take. Sorry!
