Description: Here's a pair of vintage Men's Roller Skates in the aluminum carrying case they came in. Recently got these from a lady who said they belonged to her Father and were used by him in the 1950's and maybe a bit before. The Plates are stamped CHICAGO ROLLER SKATE CO. WARE BROS PAT.AUG 15, 1914. The black leather boots are 5" tall. I don't see a size stamped on them but they fit me pretty well and I take a size 10.5. The leather is in excellent condition and is supple and very usable today. The Toe Stops are white rubber. Wheels are composite and in good shape with good smooth bearing action. Very nice old skates. The aluminum case is 14.5" by 10" and in good shape. Also included is an old-school sew-on patch from the E-N ROLLERDOME BRATTLEBORO VT that was in the case.
