Description: Vintage Italian Marquetry Wood Music Jewelry Box Plays "Love Story" No Key This is a vintage musical jewelry box from the 1970's. It is made of burled wood and the top is inlaid with other wood in a floral pattern. It plays the music just fine, and the outside looks good with minimal scratches and/or nicks. Unfortunately the finish on the inside of the lid is starting to craze. You can't really see it unless you hold it to the light at a certain angle. I tried to show this in the photos but the light was too bright and photos did not come out well. This is one of my smaller boxes. The outside measurement is about 5.5" square and is about 2.5" high, including the feet. The jewelry compartment is small - about 4" wide x2" wide x1.5" deep for the lower level. The upper level is about 4" wide x2.25" wide x .25" deep. Unfortunately, I don't have the key for this one. From a smoke-free, climate controlled home.
