Description: Vintage (50s-60s) Playing Cards made by ARRCO Playing Card Co. in Chicago. Sold under the brand "Duratone Sophisticates," these were among the first plastic coated cards. Backs have collages of the most classic cars and airlines of the era. The "Cars" deck has Corvette, Rolls Royce, Mercedes Benz, Jaguar, Lancia, and MG logos. The "Airlines" deck has Air France, El Al, Air India, United, BOAC, JAL, and American Airlines logos. A great item for collectors of playing cards or car/airline memorablia. The decks are in great shape. They don't look like they were ever shuffled. The box is in good shape, save for one side of the insert tray that has come loose and some scuffing on the outer box.
