Description: For the special items I've acquired over the years, I remember where I got it and any history behind it that I could gather. This came from an estate sale. The original owners and their ancestors were world travelers. Both in military and as missionaries. All of the special things they collected from their travels for generations of this family were kept in one space. All together. Here I witnessed wonderful treasures from all over the country and all over the world spanning from the late 1800s until it abruptly stopped around the late 1950s or early 1960s. I'm not exactly sure what this was meant to be....but it was stored in this little box for decades. It was in the group of items than ranged until about the 1930s. Not sure age, but probably in the range of late 1800s-early 1930s based on where it was in the memento collection. There is no closure and you can see a small portion that has come unraveled/unstitched. I will update my listing accordingly and hopefully help someone that would love to have it find it. UPDATE: I have been told this was a very small purse that once had an accordion / expandable metal closure at top.
