Description: This is a beautiful vintage carving, marked Milo Wood Hawaii on the underside. 6 inches tall Weighs 8.2 ounces It is signed (engraved) "by Brian of Hawaii" in very small lettering on the lower front portion of the bust. It would be perfect decor for anything from a tiki bar, Hawaiian, Pacific Islander setting to a more modern mid-century look. Milo wood (pronounced Me-low) is one of the hardest Hawaiian woods and is near extinction today, and appreciated for its beautiful reddish color. It is also known as the alii or royalty wood because the favorite shade tree of King Kamehameha was a Milo wood tree (thespesia populnea). Please see all the photos. Ruler not included. Ships from a non-smoking and pet free home. I will package it carefully. I have a fast turnaround on shipping. Most everything goes out within the same day or next day.
