Description: Used Commodore 64c narrow board. We tested this factory refurbished Commodore 64c (narrow) board around 15 or 20 years ago using the official Commodore Warranty Center test harness and test cartridge and it passed all of the tests. However, the power switch on the board was quite sticky and difficult to switch on and off and random numbers would appear on the screen due to some defect. We decided to take out all of the socketed chips (and the fuse) and sell them separately. So, now we just have the board here with many empty chip sockets and no fuse (see photos). I am sure that the power switch is still sticky. I don't know if there could be anything else wrong with it after all of these years other than the fact that many of the chips have been removed. I don't think we have tested or used this board for at least 10 years though but it has been stored in a box in a decent place since then. You can see the original notes that were stuck to this circuit board. Obviously, all socketed chips have been removed since those notes were written. We are selling this item as defective since we know that many chips are missing from it and the power switch is sticky and it had a problem with random numbers appearing on the screen. If you need one that isn't defective please don't order this! However, a skilled Commodore repair person might be able to get some use out of this board still. Who knows! The photos are of the board you will actually receive. No keyboard, case, heat shield or power supply are included.
