Description: This is a really great piece which we have recently restored. John Carter's "Literary Machine" cast iron and brass music stand. A beautiful piece of cast iron, mahogany, and brass. As you can see from the photos, it is now in excellent beautiful condition. Adjustable but approximately 48 inches tall. Signed Carters London. Completely original and complete with the brass adjustable paper holders still remaining. Note the pretty ornate cast iron base retaining its original paint. Caster on all four legs.
