Five volume set of limited editions by Nonesuch Press, London; Dial Press New York in 1924-1927. 12ins by 7.75ins Copperplates engravings by Stephen Gooden - title pages and some chapter headings and tailpieces. Finely printed on Japon vellum. The Apocrypha was the first volume published in 1924 and is numbered 482/1250 copies. The remaining four volumes were issued in sets of 1000 copies 1925-1927 and are all unnumbered. Volume 2- Genesis to Ruth Volume 3 - Samuel to Psalms Volume 4 - Proverbs to Malachi Volume 5 - New Testament. Rough cut page edges are slightly browned otherwise in very good clean condition. Parchment boards, panelled front and rear with gilt decorations om boards and spines have very slight occasional marks and there is slight damage to head of one of the spines but are generally in very nice clean condition UK courier service is post free Courier service to USA, Canada is £40; to Australia, Asia is £6 I only charge actual postage as close as I can estimate it.
