Description: EX+ item. Very rare, sought-after promo of Steve Jablonsky THE HITCHER cd private, unofficial Original Motion Picture Score/Soundtrack. One of Jablonsky's best scores, The Hitcher is an under-rated 2007 remake road thriller/suspense film starring Sean Bean, Sophia Bush & Zachary Knighton that had a surprising strong box office return (cost $10m, made $25m). The original 1986 classic starred Rutger Hauer, C. Thomas Howell & Jennifer Jason Leigh. One of the Best films of 1986. Steve Jablonsky now a major film composer began as one of legendary score composer Hans Zimmer's best proteges. By the time he scored The Hitcher, he'd already scored successful remakes for The Texas Chainsaw and Amityville Horror. Jablonsky then replaced Zimmer himself (who had schedule conflicts) on Han's recommendation for Michael Bay's The Island (wonder score!) before doing The Hitcher and then hitting the Jackpot with Transformers (his most famous work!). The Hitcher (2007) was never commercially released and cannot even be found in digital format. Only thru this rare Promo. Very rare and unlikely to see again. 19 tracks/48 minutes Contains all the great tracks here; my favorites are the last two - both epic and Zimmer-esque sounding. 18.) I Don't Feel a Thing and 19.) I Don't Feel a Thing (Alternate). Get this gem while you can. The only one I have. Original owner (from my personal collection), only I have handled this item. CD is EX+; jewel case is used. A Must for any serious fan of The Hitcher. Someone will cherish this keeper for their own film score collection. Once it's gone, its gone. S/H cost is $5. .
