Description: For sale is a vintage Stanley Bailey plane, No. 6 size, weighing 6lbs. 6oz., and measuring 2-15/16" wide X 18" long. Signed "Bailey", "No. 6", and "Pat'd Mar-25-02 Aug-19-02 Apr-19-10" on the body, it has a sound and solid knob and tote, with a slight crack on the top surface of the tote, and with two{2} very minor chips on the knob base, all as shown in the 15th-17th pictures. Signed "Stanley SW Made In U.S.A.", the 2-3/8" X 7-5/8" blade iron has a aggressively ground edge, which will respond well to honing and sharpening by a experienced hand. The plane is intact, dirty, with poor Japanning and shows otherwise normal use and wear, as pictured, with any rust removal, cleaning, oiling, and detailing left up to you.
