It takes an already distressed bowl and makes it look OLD and WARM and very primitive. And it STAYS that way for the life of the bowl. It is smooth to the touch and it is beautiful. EACH of our hand hewn bowls are Unique. No Two are ever alike. This is hand carved dough bowl number 2966 You will see carving marks and small surface (ONLY) splits in the wood. Rick simply distresses and waxes and seals them in to blend beautifully with the surrounding patina. And BECAUSE of the distressing/waxing process that we are put these through, they are NOT suitable for rolling dough or keeping raw foods in. Measures 18 3/4 inches long, 5 7/8 inches wide, 1 3/4" tall and weighs "just" over of a Pound! The bowl you SEE in the first 7 pictures is the EXACT one that you will RECEIVE (the one in the last two pictures is a sample of what it can look like with fruits inside).
