From The Web: The 600 series guitars are known by several model numbers, and share two similar looks, and might fool you. The first ones offered from 1948 through mid-1956 have a rounded bottom, and the 'peaked' pickguard. After that, the body shape became noticeably more 'square.' It was (and remains today) one of the most popular Silvertone acoustics, selling well throughout the life of this well-loved and much-played guitar, and in today's collectors market. This was one of the most popular Silvertone models. Built from 1948 to 1971, this was the main guitar in the Silvertone line. Sound Projection is really good with this model.
