A very rare signature to find anywhere, but especially on a George Washington true 1st Edition/1st Printing!!! -Besides the author's, no other markings or writings found. Interior pages look nice and clean throughout. But volume does have some minor foxing to the front and back end-pages... 2. YOUNG WASHINGTON 1754-1758: is also a 1948 1st/1st. Very similar condition as Volume 1, no markings or writings found inside. Interior pages look nice and clean, but there is minor foxing to the end-pages... 3. PLANTER & PATRIOT 1759-1775: is a 1951 1st/1st... -No markings or writings inside, clean interior... 4. LEADER OF THE REVOLUTION 1776-1778: is also a 1951 1st/1st... -No markings or writings inside, clean interior... 5. VICTORY WITH THE HELP OF FRANCE 1778-1783: is a 1952 1st/1st... -Previous owner's stamped ex libris on the title page. But nicely done using a black stamp, not very noticeable. Please see photos. No other markings found... 6. PATRIOT & PRESIDENT 1784-1793: is a 1958 1st Edition/3rd Printing indicated by the letter "C" on the copyright page. Please see photos... -No markings or writings found inside. Interior pages look nice and clean throughout... -Please note the top of the outside pages. Pages 387 thru 394 have a little bit of extra paper poking out at the tips which is how they were originally printed... -Quite common in older volumes, actually. Absolutely nothing wrong with them, pages are firmly and perfectly attached to the binding. Not sure how it happens, but there just a bit longer than the others. On this volume they've been neatly folded over along the top... 7. FIRST IN PEACE (March 1793 - December 1799): is a 1957 1st/1st!!! Volume 7 true 1st editions are scarce and can be very difficult to find... -No markings or writings inside, clean interior... **From a non-smoking home no odors...
