This is a very nice set of 8 NEW YEARS POSTCARDS showing RURAL SCENES, BIRDS, HOLLY and BERRIES, and other New Year motifs. There are also 2 postcards, one with a well and the other with a windmill, that are made out of "Forget-Me-Not" flowers. These postcards were published by International Art Publishing Co. (IAP) in the early 1900s, and are all part of the "New Year Post Card Series # 19". IAP made postcards during the 1895 - 1915 era and mostly from Germany, and is considered one of the best publishing companies for quality postcards of that era. One of their most famous artists was Ellen Clapsaddle who is highly popular with collectors. Her work especially with children is well regarded and sought after. These postcards are unsigned and all are part of the same NEW YEAR SERIES. They are quite colorful and attractive, with lots of details. These postcards are ANTIQUE and were published in the early 1900s. They are all embossed and have GOLD trim. Overall, a nice selection of antique postcards! These are collector items because of their age, being from IAP as the publisher, and their appeal to New Years collectors. The postcards are UNPOSTED (1) and POSTED (7) with cancel dates of 1908 and 1909. The postcards are all EMBOSSED with GOLD TRIM. They have divided backs. They were "Printed in Germany". These are BETTER POSTCARD and good for a collector. The postcards will keep their value! They are sleeved and in good condition. However, please expect some creases, cuts, stains and edge wear due to their age. The photos show the postcards and the backs. The postcards are shipped in a sturdy envelope.
