Description: Original Robert Indiana signed "LOVE" sketch, done by Indiana as a draft for the artwork promoting the "Encounter" exhibition at the Warren Benedek Gallery in 1973. Pencil sketch on onionskin measuring 8.5" x 10.375" has "LOVE" in the famous double-row design with slanted "O". Spaces are filled in with A-D letters, referencing the colors he would use in the final artwork. Signed "R.I." with "LOVE" again written on verso. Irregularly trimmed, overall near fine condition.
