Very straight and upright growth. The canes will emerge green and then in the winter, when temperatures drop to near freezing, many of these canes will turn a brick red or mahogany color. Height will reach 30+ feet with 1.5 inch diameter canes. Hardy in zones 6 through 11. The bamboo readily accept both full sun and deep shade. Once establish after the first year, moderate water is acceptable. The plants are growing in 1 gallon pots. The pots will be removed and the root ball package to retain moisture.
