RARE Vintage Barbie SUBURBAN SHOPPER EXC/C TM tag #1 Shoes Hat Repr Ncklce BIN!

Description: No one looked cuter shopping at the Farmer's Market than Barbie! Barbie loved her cool Suburban Shopper dress in the light blue striped cotton! This TM tagged Suburban Shopper was only produced in 1959-60, so it's hard to find, especially with undamaged #1 shoes! This Suburban Shopper outfit is in Excellent and Complete condition and includes the striped sundress on a clear plastic dress form, straw cartwheel hat, tote bag with "fruit", early version pink phone with metal dial, repro pearl on chain necklace, and white #1 mules. Everything pictured here is original vintage Mattel, except for the reproduction necklace. I don't rate anything as "Mint" unless I've just taken it out of the original packaging. I've collected vintage Barbie for 30+ years, and I scrutinize items I sell on eBay. If you have a question that my description hasn't answered, please ask me:) You may want to save me as a seller, as I'm selling a large vintage Barbie collection on eBay. This sundress looks clean with a working zipper at the back. I will note that this early version of the striped fabric is paler blue than later versions; the fabric has not faded as the inside hem and fabric facings are the same color. The Tm tag does show wear, only the "T" shows, see pic #5. I noticed a very subtle aging in the color extending along a fold on the skirt's right side, see pic #6. The cartwheel hat is in great shape; it's clean with little wear to the straw brim or the satin ribbons, see pic #3. The "arms" on the inside of the hat have unbroken wire in one of the arms, but the wire has broken in the other arm, see pic #2. The fruit tote looks quite nice with little wear; however I noticed a little paint loss on the orange peach near the handle, and I think the tote is missing a "leaf". The pink phone looks great with no damage or melt marks; it is the early version phone with a metal dial, see pic #4. I notice a little paint loss on the metal prong. The repro pearl on chain necklace looks just like original one, only shiny:) The white #1 mules are marked Japan on the bottom of one shoe; they don't have any splits or cracks. This outfit will be shipped in a box, so that the hat keeps it's shape. Suburban Shopper will look delightful on your favorite Barbie!
