RARE PAIR OF CAMBRIDGE CASCADE CANDLESTICKS # 4000 MANDARIN GOLD GREAT CONDITION

Up for auction is a pair of very Rare Cambridge "Cascade" Candlesticks Pattern # 4000 In Mandarin Gold And In Fabulous Condition. This yellow amber glass the last major pattern that Cambridge manufactured before going out of business in 1958. It is their gorgeously designed "Cascade" Pattern and this is really an amazing find after all of these years. At one point, Cambridge actually listed these candlesticks in their "Caprice" Pattern, but they are generally accepted as "Cascade" Candlesticks. Even more amazing is that are in "pristine" condition as can be seen in the photographs, with only the tiniest of scratches to their bottom, commensurate with their age, as you can be seen from the photographs. I am told that this is an extremely rare pattern to be found in their "Mandarin Gold" color because although Cambridge made over 40 different pieces in this pattern, only 6 pieces were made in this spectacular yellow "Mardarin Gold" color. They were only made from 1949 to 1958, making these candlesticks between 66 and 75 years old, and were never reproduced, as far as I could find out. I only wish I had more, because they are so gorgeous. Each candlestick measures 4 3/4 inches tall, has a 1 Inch top opening that fits a standard candle, and has a rounded bottom measuring about 4 3/4 inches across. The bulbous swirling center measures 2 7/8 inches at its widest. These were purchased from an old estate sale on Long Island. I found them sitting inside a closed dining room cabinet where they apparently sat on a shelf for many years, and were hardly used. I have been collecting unusual vintage objects for many years, and always to describe the items as best as I can. Except for those extremely small scratches to their bottoms, I don't see any other scratches, or fleabites, cracks, stains, cloudiness, or repairs anywhere. They come from a smoke-free home. I only accept PayPal. and never charge extra for packaging and handling.
