Description: CHECKER #754 ORIGINAL 1952 PRESSING IN E- condition with extra hiss and a few pops. Both sides play all the way through very pleasantly. The record comes from my father’s private collection. This is Arthur 'Big Boy' Crudup of course. Unusual tough Chicago style sounds from him. Great shouted vocals with guitar and harp. All records are now play tested for any sound distortion or defects. If there are any they will be listed is description. The matrix #’s are etched 1022 with a smaller #37 and 1023 37. the smaller #37 is a trait of early Checkers. Many of the early 45’s and 78’s from the 1940’s & 1950’s had scripted #’s special to each label. It’s a sure fire way to identify the true early pressings. ‘Buy It Now” customer receive refunded shipping within the US and 50% refund on international orders (which have become even stricter with new rules in effect as of yesterday). I will be posting more and more records all through the holidays. Thanks for looking-MONROE RARE RECORDS I ship via USPS Priority with all records packed professionally in record specific boxes with layers of cardboard and bubble wrap (no plastic touches the actual record). I have safely shipped the most fragile 78’s al around the world. I will be using USPS First class after the shipping promotion and the ebay international hub. Media Mail international shipping allows boxes to be opened regularly. I do not want my packing process disturbed and risk having my father’s life’s work compromised. Apologies for not having super cheap shipping, it’s just not worth the risk to me.
