Description: This very rare pair of outstanding Stuart Crystal Cufflinks date to circa 1715. Stuart crystals are among the earliest examples of mourning and sentimental jewelry. This set is in incredibly well-preserved condition, as if they have never been worn. They are complete with a bright red foil back, a swatch of brown woven hair and a gold cypher under the beveled crystal. The backs of the earrings are crafted in a sterling grade silver with a figure 8 connector between the two halves. The square crystals have a step beveled border and do not show any wear or blemishes. The tops measure 1/2" by 1/2" and weigh 9.71 grams.Thank you for visiting Whitmer-Hammond Antiques and supporting our small business. We take pride in our excellent customer service.
