Description: This rare 1920s Dutch “Turmac Aparto” litho 20 cigarette tin, measuring 3 18” x 2 3/4” x 1 1/4”, is in good condition with a few tiny dents, some very minor superficial rust on the bottom interior and some minor age related paint scratches and chips. Much of the high gloss finish remains. This highly attractive white and gold tin features a detailed Art Deco portrait of the American film star Jean Harlow (1911-1927), the American film star, smoking a cigarette. The cigarettes were manufactured by the Turkish Macedonian Tobacco Company, Zevenaar, The Netherlands.
