Description: Harvested 2023 You are bidding on 1 pack of Quadrato D'Asti Rosso Organic Heirloom Sweet Bell Pepper 25+ Seeds See my seed bundle listings for even bigger savings. The Quadrato D'Asti Rosso This blocky thick fleshed sweet bell pepper is a Rare Italian Heirloom. I added this variety to my garden over 5 years ago and since then I have not been able to find it for sale at any reliable seed banks. The one I purchased this variety from (Baker Creek) no longer has it. Luckily I save my own seeds and now have enough to offer them for sale. :) Out of all the plant starts sold locally at my greenhouse, this is the top pepper sold for multiple years now. Will add some more photos soon. Heat = 0 SHU. Flavor = Very sweet, almost candy like sweetness when harvested at the prime time (when its red), crispy, crunchy. A delicious complex flavor. My favorite tasting sweet bell pepper, a staple in my annual garden. Give it a try and you will not be disappointed. Look = A fleshy bell pepper type 2-4" in diameter and 3-5" long. Starts green and ends up a red color. Harvest when almost fully red for the best flavor. Size = Plants can grow about 2-3 feet in height. Tends to be a bushy smaller plant which supports the bigger fruit. Does best when topped and pruned regularly early. Uses = A fleshy pepper. Great for making stuffed peppers. Great fresh, frozen, and dehydrated. A good substitute for a standard green bell pepper if you want a sweeter more complex flavor. I love to mix them with hotter peppers for sweet heat. Also good for sandwiches, pasta, pizza, stir fry, salads, chili, grilling, the list goes on. Its the most used pepper in my kitchen all year long. Seeds are packaged in labeled zip lock bags. All seeds I list are open pollinated, non GMO, 100% organically grown in my own garden/farm. These are NOT from an outside seed bank source. From germination to final packaging is under my care and high standards. I do not use chemical pesticides or fertilizers. Care has been taken in planting and flower fertilization to keep the seed plants from cross species pollinating to maintain a purer variety. All shown photos and products in my listings are from plants I personally have grown. These are the exact same seeds that I save every year, use the following year, and have been providing me great success for decades. Warning: Hot Pepper seeds may still have heat. Wear gloves when handling seeds and peppers for protection. Buyer is responsible for germination & growing conditions and success is at your own risk. Seller will not be held responsible for buyer's growing methods, conditions or results as there are many variables that effect success rates. Be sure to use proper germination techniques for highest success rate. Use heat pads, starter plugs, domed germination containers, and grow lights for best results. Hot pepper seeds may take up to 30 days to germinate, so have patience. I will not replace seeds that fail due to poor germination techniques on your part. Pepper plants are heavy feeders and require highly fertile soil and tons of sunlight for best results. I am happy to supply additional information about germination and growing, just ask! I love talking about gardening and want you to be successful. Please contact me if you have any problems before leaving negative feedback so that we can work together to find a viable solution.
