Retrofitted with current industry-standard bosses (universal index shifter compatible)! Allows the installation of all makes and models of indexed downtube shifters. These bosses are also compatible with all shift-cable barrel adjusters for Shimano STI, Campagnolo Ergo, and SRAM road bike shifters. Paddythepeddler has spent many hours refashioning this piece! A fine example of hand-crafted metal work and the welder's art! Better and stronger than new! The original boss on the vintage used clamp has been removed, and a replacement brand-new industry-standard boss welded-on in stead. Many hours of hand metal work is invested in this fine piece! Paddythepeddler performs the re-manufacturing by hand in his workshop. The Peddler uses precision laser-welding which does not weaken or mar the original band. The new bosses are welded perfectly square and true, for perfect alignment and a clean appearance on your downtube. Near mint condition original band. All added welded metal is stainless steel. Many of the outer surfaces have been polished, with a high polish on the top side and logo! Paddythepeddler is compiling a list of downtube shifters that are compatible with this clamp.
