FN260 Elite Companies French Infantry 1807-14 This box contains 40 figures skirmishing and includes individual round bases ideal for skirmish gaming. This box covers the Elite companies (Voltigeurs and Grenadiers) of a French Infantry Battalion. All figures are represented skirmishing. The Voltigeurs were picked for their skill in shooting and agility. Grenadiers were the longer serving men who were the backbone of the Battalion and normally lead the charge or held the line. They were also called on for skirmishing duties. All figures are in the pre-1812 long tailed coat and coveralls. A full painting guide in the box covers the details for painting these as French, Swiss, Kingdom of Italy and Neapolitan troops. Napoleonic infantry. Multi-part plastic miniatures. 28mm scale.
