Description: This is very nice, unissued and original German Air Force (Luftwaffe) rank insignia or chevron for Gefreiter (airman). The chevron itself is silver braid in the shape of a "V" sewn to the Air Force dark grey wool backing. This was found in an original bundle of 24 chevrons which were bound together with cotton thread. This listing is for one (1) chevron only. At its widest point the patch is 75mm wide, and 70mm from top to bottom. Brand new, but may be creased from storage. I recently came upon a forgotten box of original German WW2 era insignia and will be listing items individually. The box contained a mixture of very old stock (with antiquated prices) and were probably purchased from a dealer many years ago, or possibly sourced in postwar Germany. Everything I am listing appears to be 100% authentic.
