ORIGINAL 1990 SERIES 1 MARVEL UNIVERSE FACTORY SEALED 18 PACKS = 1/2 Box READ!

Description: HI! PLEASE READ THIS CARFULLY AND IN ITS ENTIRETY! (I get paid by the word. Don't I wish!) I admit it. For the most part over the past 33 years, I missed collectibles like Marvel. That's because, basically, I am an idiot. Let me tell you a brief story that still rankles. For one year, 1990, my wife and I joined BJs wholesale club. One day, I walked in the store and right in front was a huge display of this new trading card called Marvel Universe. There must have been a MINIMUM of 400 boxes on the skid. I will admit it intimidated me. How many must they have made if just one store in Massachusetts had hundreds of boxes? Oh, I bought some. Six boxes to be exact. They were $11.98 each. I still have four sealed boxes of Series 1 Marvel Universe. My four children will each inherit one box. I think I sold one box and some packs from another box. This is what I have left--18 factory sealed packs. They have resided in a box for the past 33 years in my warehouse. Why didn't I buy 20 or 30 boxes? I guess I just thought they were making too much of it. Oh well. Not my first mistake. And not my last. I will make more mistakes in the future. Probably beginning tomorrow. This is a Buy It Now listing for 18 sealed packs of Series 1 of Marvel Universe. THAT IS ONE HALF OF A BOX. I happened to glance on eBay to see how much Series 1 Marvel Universe was listed. Holy cow. I was amazed! One sealed box for $5,000! Plus ONE seller of single packs! How could that be? I can find larger pack lots of 1952 Topps Baseball for sale--and those are 72 years old! Marvel Universe is only 34 years old. I would guess that at least 98% TO 99% of Marvel Universe Series 1 has already been opened. Remember, packs were cheaper then. (I am old enough to remember Hershey bars for a dime.) But these packs are STILL cheap. That is why my four children will each inherit one box of Series 1 Marvel Universe. Hey, I was born at night, but not LAST night. Anyway, I digress. My two cents of advice--unless you are trying to complete this set--is to take these 18 packs--that's half a box-- out of the cardboard box I send it to you and save them for a rainy day, a snowy day, or a sunny day until about 2035. Longer, if you are under 50 years old. The price for these 18 factory sealed packs of Series 1 Marvel Universe is just $788.00. THIS IS LESS THAN $45 PER PACK! That's for the equivalent of half a box! I think that is a better deal than $5,000 for one box. You decide. Finally, the rules: 1) No discount. It's $788 if you want it, and $788 if you don't.
