Description: Tropicanna Canna One Healthy Rhizome with at least 2 eyes. Canna Tropicanna® stands out from all the rest. The foliage is beautiful and exotic even without flowers, but it blooms all summer long till frost. It is great to be the centerpiece in landscape design and a good campanion to many sun loving plants. I plant them with dahlias and it looks great. It is perennial for zone 8 and above, but need to be lifted to store indoors for zone 7 and below. I live in MN (zone 4B), and if I can do it, you can too following some easy procedures (many available in YouTube). It will reach 4' in the first year, and can reach 6' in the second year if you leave them in the ground, or dig big clump of rhizome for winter storage. It also multiplies easily. Deer tend not to bother them. It loves sun, water and fertile soils. Note: Theses rhizomes were freshly dug from the ground and dried slightly for winter storage. I typically sell these in Spring starting mid-April when MN passes freezing temperature, and they usually are sold out within a couple of weeks. If you live in zone 8 or higher that the rhizomes can survive the winter, or you are experienced in storing cannas for winter and want an early start in Spring, it is good time to buy them now.
