Description: On the bottom there are 4 side corner metal claps may mark wood floors. There is a lot of dirt on the trunk which shed. Will need to be cleaned and completely restored. If not it could be kept in a garage. Any original paper or cover on the wood is long gone, other than the metal. There once were side handles, they are gone. It would be a big commitment to try to restore the trunk. It will take time to clean all the dirt off it. The side that has the corroded wood may have been exposed to the weather, I believe the trunk was kept in garage for many years.I do not know the age. Size is 17 x17 x 30 inches and weighs approx 30lbs. Metal skin on the front, top and back. Three hinges hold the lid. Front has a lock and latch, and the latch will go into the lock, no key. There are two side locking/closing mechanisms, which will keep the lid closed, when a lever at the side is slid upwards. One side is the wood is corroded, with outer missing wood, exposing rusted metal. This side had a lot of dirt on it and still has dirt marks. The back wood along the top has split and is peeling off but is held in place by the metal skin but still falls backwards away from the trunk when opened. There is a spit on the base wood but this may not affect use, has there are cross strips below. The metal is heavily rusted and peeling. The is still lots of dirt areas and some sheds. When closed it feels structurally sound, only when opening does the back wall wood, with the split, start move backwards. Will needs a lot of repair. There is no smell.
