Description: Up for your consideration is an original antique powderhorn with the initials "GWW" period carved into the surface as well as the date "April 24th 1833". It has a nice double twist. It measures approximately 10.5" long in a straight line from spout tip to the tip of the applied strap attachment knob. The domed wood plug measures approximately 2 5/8" in diameter & is removable due to missing its 5 wood pins. Replacing the pins should be a relatively easy restoration & the plug lines up perfectly to the holes in the edge of the horn. The horn surface has some small holes & a dry surface patina. The spout has some cracks with interesting lead repairs. See all 22 photos for best condition description.
