Featuring a paneled wide with notched screw-off lid, sharpener is pierced on top to accommodate different size pencils. Sides advertise DAILY MONITOR - LEADER ~ SOUTH MACOMB NEWS ~ RADIO STATION WMLN. Underside is stamped DUX Germany. Featuring a wonderful Art Deco embossed design on the lid, it has been tested as Bakelite with Semichrome. Condition is lovely with no chips, cracks, hairlines, repairs, warping, melt marks or damage - a bit of errant lead still within the jar from use. Think this is such a cool old piece - I think it dates to around the 1940s - color is toning bright due to my flash.
