It’s now time to pass it on to someone who will give this watch the wrist time it deserves. This is one amazing watch coming from the Italian-based watch brand that has released well-respected, all Swiss Made models for decades. The Panama is a signature model for Philip Watch and is a must for collectors. The moderate-size case is in as-new condition. There are no scratches, gouges or other detractions to note. It's a beautiful, classic bulbous tonneau-shape case, a shape which traditionally wears larger than the 35 mm width might suggest. It has nice, weighty wrist presence, even for my 7.5 inch wrist. Under the untouched crystal is this model's show stopper: A wonderful scallop-textured deep ink blue dial with Arabic number laid out in a "crazy numbers" or "exploded numbers"-style. In the middle sits an enamel hand-painted world map background for the wave-shaped GMT function hand. It's a great statement piece that borders on the artistic. Providing the timekeeping is a premium, perfectly running and setting ETA 2893 GMT mechanical automatic movement. The heavy, all-stainless steel, multi-link bracelet is substantial and follows the high quality of all Philip Watch offerings. There are no gouges, scratches or "desks diving" scuffs. All links that came with the watch are present and comfortably fits my 7.5 inch wrist. If you have every considered a Panama, other than brand new, there is no nicer condition example around.
