Description: Beautiful kimono jacket in hand block print with elaborate and interesting border. Made out of heavenly soft cotton, light in weight, and fully lined in soft cotton too. Hand kantha stitch adds extra detail and texture. It is immediately obvious that this jacket is hand made with lot of skill, creativity and care, made in the way dating back centuries, and it is so great that there are still artisans who make such garments. The outer shell is dyed / printed with natural indigo dye. Because the dye has not been artificially treated, the jacket should be dry cleaned if you would like the colours to remain the same. Alternatively, you can wash the jacket in the washing machine separately, on cold or very low temperature, low spin with mild detergent - the light blue on the jacket will become few shades darker after the first wash. I would recommend using a delicate laundry bag to protect the kantha hand stitch. Do not soak or tumble dry, and don't leave it exposed to strong sunlight when drying. ***the colours of the jacket appear darker on the photos I took from a distance. For the exact colours please refer to the close-up photos*** Very versatile jacket, suitable for warmer months, because it is breathable, and made entirely out of natural fibres, and during cooler months, great for layering. If you wear cotton, you will know that during the summer it keeps you cool, and when layered and/or in the winter it provides warmth. Very comfortable and easy to wear, not only because of the soft, natural fabrics, which are very pleasant to touch, but also because of the kimono style cut.
