Other years he hurled in 92, 90 and 65 games - all league-leading totals. In '74 he won the N.L. Cy Young Award but he also placed 2nd, 4th, 5th and 7th in other years. An all-star (officially) just twice - his two seasons with Los Angeles - Marshall ranked 3rd, 5th, 10th and 11th in his league's Most Valuable Player voting. Despite consistently outstanding numbers including league-leading numbers a dozen times, Mike Marshall was considered just once for the Hall of Fame (1987) when he finished with just 1.5% of the vote.
