Description: This microscope is a German made Leitz Wetzler Dialux microscope with two 10X wide field eyepieces and five objective lenses. It is an extremely rugged unit with all metal construction. This is a complete microscope with the lamp transformer (American Optics brand) and lamp housing (Leitz brand) included. The objective lenses are 4X (Unbranded), 10X (Leitz), 40X (Leitz), 54X (Leitz), and 100X oil (Leitz). This provides a wide magnification range of 40X-1000X. The objective lenses are mounted on a 5 position turret for easy selection. The 120V illumination lamp is 50 watt with two adjustable apertures and a condensing lens height adjustment. The illumination lamp intensity is also adjustable with the knob on the front of the lamp power supply. The X-Y graduated stage has clamps to hold a slide securely and is moveable to easily scan across a sample. The microscope frame has a pocket to hold filters but no filters are included. The head of this microscope has a third viewing port to allow a camera to be added but a camera is not included in this package. The last five photos, the honey bee tongue (40X), the bug's hairy claw foot (100X),the tomato skin (400X), the plant leaf (540X), and the plant leaf (1000X) were taken through the eyepiece of this microscope with a cell phone camera.
