Description: Great midcentury etching called "Radium" showing Madame Marie and Pierre Curie holding up a glowing vial. On their lab bench are hand blown test tubes and jars. Pierre holds two books. There is a plate mark and is signed in the print JMP, aka Julius Mendes Price, a caricaturist for Vanity Fair in the late 1800s. This print slightly later, circa 1930s as part of a series re-released by Petrolager. The caricatures feature famous figures from the world of science and medicine.The printed area is about 4.2x7" and is matted to 11x14.5". In very good condition with light age toning and edge wear. A great piece or lab or office decor for a scientist or doctor!
