Description: Many Very Old Telephone Nameplates - These did add up to be over $400 but take all these that are left for less money. The board was assembled by a long time telephone collector. It measures approximately 21” tall and 10 ½” wide and weights about 8 lbs (maybe 10 lbs when packed for shipping). The items attached represent a few of the many ID and lighting arrestors off of telephones and telephone equipment, some which date to the 1900 or before. It represents a subject of activity performed by hobbyists years ago. The plaque that these are mounted on is very nice walnut. There is room for additional. It would seem that if these were sold individually, the value would be such to add up to a larger figure. The collector friend who had this collection was at a tel collectors show across the isle from me. The display is very show worthy and it caught my eye. While Mary drove towards Chicago, beginning in (from) eastern Indiana, I analyzed these. I had seen nearly all of them on a phone at one time and l know of 17 or more. I thought I'd put one at a time on eBay but don't have the time to do so: Old Telephone Nameplate off of Monarch Telephone Mfg. Co.
