Even though these records look very clean, I believe that all records need to be deep-cleaned at least twice, especially older LP's. I will leave it up to the buyer to use their own method and machine to do the final deep clean these records. I use a strong halogen side light sometimes looking at small marks with a strong hand-held lens inspect them before assigning a visual grade. Why Promo Copies are important:There are many factors that determine if a pressing has good sonics such as; quality of the recording equipment and placement, master tape, mastering engineer, mastering quality and technique, vinyl compound quality, pressing plant, early pressing, original issue vs. re-issue and of course, condition.The biggest factor, and most over-looked when determining the quality of the sound, is the pressing order. In other words, was the record pressed when the stamper was new, or after thousands of pressings when the stamper was worn out. The only way to determine whether a record was pressed when the stamper was fresh and crisp is to listen to the record and compare it to other copies of equal condition. That said, "promotional copies" and "dj copies" were pressed before general release, or early in the release, and therefore it can be assured with confidence, that the pressing was made with a fresh stamper. Condition and Audio Quality:The LP has been wet-cleaned and vacuumed on a VPI 16 record cleaning machine. It has been visually inspected only- if you require a play grade, just ask. Both sides look very clean but I always recommend an additional cleaning for older records, even in this fine condition, to remove any residual inner sleeve fibers that may have accumulated over the years. The LP presents in NM-/NM visual grade on sides 1 and 2 respectively. The record has a deep inky black gloss and all its rainbow luster. No spindle trails on the labels. Just two very light inner sleeve hairlines on side 1. Side 2 has just one light inner sleeve hairline. VPI deep-cleaned and vacuumed. Visually graded only- If you want a play grade- just ask. The jacket is in very good VG+ condition. This euro jacket. Has wear on the edges. Has its original DGG paper and poly inner sleeve. The jacket and record will be shipped with a new 3ml outer sleeve.
