Description: M. J. Hummel Western Germany 2/ O Little Fiddler Boy Figurine This little figurine is an original Hummel your grand mother or mother would've flipped for 35 years ago. Unfortunately, they don't have the same draw they used to. But they are just as cute and detailed with a rich history. Hummels began in the 1930s as drawings by artist Maria Innocentia Hummel. Franz Goebel was a porcelain makers who was very taken with the drawings and began making the Hummel figurines in 1935. This Little Fiddler figurine is from 1979. He's got a hit of ware and tear. He was broken at one point and someone glued him back together. His condition can be seen in the photos. He stands 6 in tall. He still stands on his own and brings a wonderful charm. Item is vintage and sold as-is. All sales are final.
