(See below) 2) Lynyrd Skynyrd Tribute Tour 1987 Black Satin Vest RARE! 3) Whiskey Rock & Roller Devil In The Bottle With Devil Girl On Motorcycle Art Under Logo (24 Inches x 36 Inches 4) Tribute to Coach Leonard Skinner. This was his last tour signing before he passed. The shirt is signed on the front. 5) Unused concert ticket Miami FL. Front row floor. This was a gift from the band. Also 2 stubs from the tickets I already had. That's why this one was untorn/not used. 6) Memorial Record from Lacy Vanzants funeral and 2 birds off of one of the wreaths that were at the funeral. These were given to me by Little Ronnie named after his famous uncle Ronnie. 7) The book from the box set. NOTE..... This is not just a Lynyrd Skynyrd / 38 Special memorabilia piece. It is full of friends and family. It is art and history all in one beautiful piece. This is a one of a kind hand made guitar strap that was made specifically for Donnie VanZant of 38 Special. He is the brother of the also famous artist of Lynyrd Skynyrd.. My brother was a mason and built a garage for the father Lacy VanZant on Lakeshore Blvd. in Jacksonville Florida which later became a practice room. Im adding some of this information for provenance. I have had this strap for more than 30 years. I would have had many more signatures but honestly I forgot to bring it to events because I was just going to have fun. This strap was custom made for (Donnie Vanzant), Ronnie Vanzants brother. It states it on the back. (Freds Leather Art designed for Donnie Van Zant 3/16/81) and I believe it says Burm ALA with a phone number that is no longer in service 205-9951-3326. It starts out on one end with a Bullet shape, then going up you see a womans legs with a pair of shorts on, and a leaf on the back of the shorts. That is where you find the signature of (Gene Odom) who was one of Ronnie Vanzants best friends. He was the Security manager for the band. He allegedly strapped Ronnie VanZant in his seat belt before the plane crashed. He suffered the loss of an eye in the plane crash but is alive and doing well today. HYe has a book out called (LYNYRD SKYNYRD). Its a good read. Over the woman's shorts area there is a flower growing a bullet with a couple of leaves. Above that is the end of a bullet casing that says W-W on top and 38 Special on the bottom. That is where you will find (Billy Powel) signed it on one side and (Leon Wilkenson) signed it on the other. Billy Powel was the piano player for the band and passed of a heart attack 1/28/2009. Leon Wilkenson was the bassist in the band from 1972 until he passed in 2001. I went to one of their stops on their concert tours in Miami Florida where I was living at the time in 1991. After the concert we went up to the hotel and hung out with them for awhile. This is where the pictures of us with Randal Hall, Johnny Vanzant, Kurt Custer and the others were taken. We also jumped on the bus for a short time which was their new Gold & Platinum bus. It was beautiful. Above the 38 special casing are two fingers holding a tube of lipstick that is being applied to a set of lips. On the lipstick is where you will find the signature of (Randall Hall). In 1987 Randall was asked by Allen Collins to take his place after he was paralyzed in a car accident. Randal was part of the band until 1994. On the right finger holding the lipstick you will find the signature of (Harley Lamoureux AKA "Coconut Harley"). This is what he was called after finding a coconut on his way into a concert and the name stuck with him for the rest of his life. Harley was added to the Blues Hall of Fame in 2014 as a professional Harmonica Player, having shared the stages with Charlie Daniels, The Allman Brothers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, 38 Special and many more world class musicians. Harley also ran a prison ministry called The Gift Goes On. It was my great privilege to serve as a board member until I moved to Georgia. Harley was a wonderful God fearing man and is truly missed. Harley Ray Lamoureux passed away November 17, 2020 from Covid 19 complications. On the top lip is where (Debbie Bailey) signed it and wrote, "Honkette" 91. Debra was a background singer for the band from 1989 to 1992. Debra is still alive today and still writes songs and sings along with many other things. Above the lips is a beautiful rose that leads to the Famous Skynyrd Hat. On the lower rim of the hat is where (Artimus Pyle signed it. He also wrote RVZ on the very top of the hat as well as on the top rim. He wrote Skynyrd on the top rim just past his last name as well and RRHOF 2006 which stands for ROCK & ROLL HALL OF FAME. He basically filled in the entire infamous Vanzant/Skynyrd hat so no one else could write on it. Artimus signed it at the first Ronnie VanZant memorial that was put together in Jacksonville Fl. What a good time was had as well as raising some money for charity. He is still alive and claims that he is actually the last original member. I like Artie and do not enter these conversations. Arti was the one who ran to get help when the plane went down despite all of his injuries'. Past the hat going down to the other side of the strap is a pair of mens jeans and a microphone on a stand going up to where a head would be singing where the leaf is. Just to the right side of the jeans is where the teacher that the band was named after (Leonard Skinner) signed it . This was his very last signing tour before he passed. He signed (Coach Leonard Skinner 10/19/07). He passed in 2010 suffering from Alzheimer's. There's a picture of him signing my sons guitar. I am only allowed to put a certain amount of pictures on here so I will try to put the important ones. I will be happy to send any that I can find via email. On the pant leg of those jeans is where (Jimmie VanZant) signed it and it continues across the name engraved in the leather Donnie . Jimmie was the cousin of Ronnie, Donnie and Johnny VanZant. His father was the brother of Lacy VanZant. We only had a silver marker that he was signing albums with so his name is the largest one on the strap. Jimmy passed April 7, 2016 of liver cancer at age 59. I got his signature at the premier of a movie that his band appeared in. I believe it was in Stark Florida. The guitar strap is in wonderful condition for its age. It had been kept put away from light and allsignature'sare legible as signed. The one end of the strap that hooks to the guitar is TORN OFF but can be easily reattached. The towel has one or two yellowish spots on it somewhere you'll have to look in the pictures. The black vest has a couple of dark spots on each side of the words. I do not try to clean items so it may or may not come off. The vest is an excellent condition never been worn besides that. This item is being sold (AS IS) and the pictures are included as authentication but feel free to get it authenticated yourself for your records. I am not including authentication as the pictures and provenance I have included are the best authentication you can have. This item is non refundable so please look at the pictures and ask any questions you may have BEFORE bidding. There is still plenty of room left on this guitar strap for more signatures if yo wish to carry on adding to this historical piece of history.
