They are great subs/replacements for a number of vintage transistors that can get noisy over the years. You will hear it in your receivers. Many vintage Pioneer, Sansui, Marantz, and other brand receivers and amplifiers will develop faint crackling in one or both channels as a result of small transistors going bad, and these brand new Onsemi KSC1845s are a great way to correct that.
