Part of a series Roadside Diner Series, designed by Artist Jerry Berta...Please see Jerry's details, and bio in the photos...This is the "Blues" Diner, made in the shape of a retro diner, with 2 color genuine Neon Tube Lighting, that runs on a mini 110v transformer, included. The "Diner" lights up in red, and green, which also lights up the inside of the diner, to highlight the amazing detail inside...There is also a clock above the door that reads "Open 24 Hours"...It is battery operated...I think it is just decorative, and don't believe it actually works?? A beautiful lighted piece for added interest to a table, or shelf. Made of porcelain ceramic with silver luster accents, highly detailed, inside there is a menu on the wall, a soda fountain diner counter with bar stools, etc.. The back is also finished, with a back door, and reads "DINER EAT". A beautiful numbered piece, of only 5000 made, retired, no longer in production, and hard to find. This will come in the original box, with the original packing...Box may show shelf wear. Note: These are hand numbered, the number shown may not be the number you receive. Please note: This is real neon lighting, and has a buzzing sound, that is a characteristic of neon, and normal when running...Please consider if you are sensitive to noise. Neon lighting is easy to maintain, and can last for many years, with proper care. This is how we were told to care for Neon: Do not touch the neon tubes with your fingers, hands. Keep the neon tubes free of dust...Lightly dust the Neon Tubes, with a soft brush, or cloth...Don't use any type of cleaners, only a slightly damp cloth, if needed. If possible, keep Your Neon Plugged in All The Time.We have had 2 of these sculptures, and this is how we care for them. They have been plugged in non-stop for over 15 years, we never unplug them...The only time they are off, is during power outages. The neon has not faded, or diminished in any way, it is still working beautifully. We test each one before shipping, to be sure the neon is working as it should.
