Description: This "Soldiers and Sailors Home Quincy Ill Advertising Plate is a original item from 1915. It is 8" wide and is 1 1/8" off the table. It is done on a beautiful deep Cobalt Blue base glass. I do not know where to start on describing this piece. It is a RARE Advertising Item in mint condition. The glass is clean and very glossy and has no chips, cracks or scratches or high spot ware. It has complete color coverage from side to side with no loss from ware. It was made by the Fenton Glass Co. around 1915. I cannot believe that it is over 100 years old and has all survived with no damage. It has the finest colors on this Advertising piece that I have ever seen on this pattern. This is right out of a house of a 100 year old gentleman that just went into a home. His wife passed several years ago. They bought most of their glass in the 40's & 50's. We will be listing many other Victorian era items from this same estate for the next several Years.
