Description: Hanwei - Tanto Great Wave Hanwei - Tanto Great Wave The Great Wave created by Paul Chen for Hanwei shows the Japanese Tomoe motif, which is often called the family coat of arms and used as an ornament for shrines. Fuchi and Kashira are made of blackened iron and decorated with the Tomoe-Mon. The blade is hand-forged in T10 carbon steel and has a long (O) Kissaki. It has been differentially hardened and shows a pronounced hardness line (hamon). The sheath is painted deep black. The tanto has a ribbed tsuka made of buffalo horn.
