Description: A beautiful Hanau German solid 800 silver box. It is hallmarked with Hanau marks and the 800 silver standard mark. I would date it to c1890's. It has been beautifully made being in the form of a picnic basket decorated with cherubs. It is in super condition being free from dings splits holes and repairs, the inside is clean and gilded. It measures approx. 2.25 inches (6cms) long by 1.25 inches (3.4cms) wide by 2.5 inches (6.3cm) tall to the top of the handle and weighs 45 grams. A very high quality example.
